SERDANG, March 21- In Session 3, the 45th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony today, a journalist from the Centre for Corporate Strategy and Relations (PSPK), UPM, has been witnessed receiving a first-class honours degree in Bachelor of Communication, major in Journalism.

A graduate from the Department of Communication, Faculty of Modern Languages ​​and Communication (FBMK), Nurul Ezzaty Mohd Azhari, 25, also received the best student award for the Bachelor of Communication’s programme.

She was a part-time journalist for BERNAMA, and she expressed her gratitude towards her parents and friends, who had helped her a lot in producing her thesis.

Nevertheless, she admitted that there were many obstacles she had to face before becoming a bachelor’s graduate, where she once felt ill during her examination day and had to commute to the University Health Centre (PKU) for treatment.

She was persistent and the effort paid off when she managed to get dean lists every semester.

"I hold on to the principle that results will not betray efforts. So, every effort we put in there will be results no matter how big or small it is," she said.

She has been working at PSPK for almost a month, and she is excited to be able to serve the university again after graduating, which is in line with UPM's motto "With Knowledge We Serve".

For her, this was a blessing from Allah S.W.T to have a job as a journalist that suits her personality right after graduating last year.

She also did not forget the opportunities provided by PSPK, which is always supportive of UPM graduates by opening prospects for her to serve the University.

"Insha Allah, I will try to provide the best service to PSPK and UPM," she said. - UPM
