Serdang, August 23 – The Deputy Director of the Centre for Corporate Strategy and Relations (PSPK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Izani Mohd Zain, has received the National Book Award for the Higher Education Award Best General Book (Language and Leadership) category.

He received the award for his book entitled “Bahasa dan Identiti Kepimpinan Khaled Nordin dalam Pendidikan Tinggi Negara” in conjunction with the Malaysia Book Expo 2022 and International Book Conference 2022 held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), UPM, today.

As the main author of the book, he expressed joy and pride in receiving recognition for the book.

“Thanks to the co-writers, Dr. Hishamudin Islam, Dr. Rohaidah Haron and Dr. Mashetoh Abd Mutalib, who have worked together to prepare the best research manuscript for this book derived from the findings of a study. Thank you also to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) for providing a higher education policy grant which made the publication of this book possible.

“Hopefully, the recognition will inspire me to keep writing and producing better quality books in the future,” he said.

UPM Press also launched the book together with another book entitled “Politik, Etnisiti dan Peradaban: Malaysia Pasca 2020” yesterday. – UPM
